A new Billy Cook Western ultra-light Wade saddle with a 14.5 inch seat, weighing 26 lbs.
A Wade is a ranch saddle: a thick, strong horn set low and forward for dallying, a wide fork to take the strain, and a deep seat that keeps you where you belong when a horse turns underneath you. The traditional problem with a Wade is that it is heavy, and a working Wade often runs 35 to 40 lbs. At 26 lbs this one is genuinely light for the type, which matters if you saddle several horses a day or ride a tall one.
The tree is adjustable, so one saddle can follow a horse as it changes shape, or fit more than one. Available in black or brown.
New, from a maker whose name has meant working saddles for decades.
