Quality Inspection for Consignors

At Horse Saddle Deals Consignment Policies, we extend a polite request to our valued consignors to permit our dedicated team to perform a meticulous quality assessment of their items. Our objective is to ensure the highest standards of excellence in our offerings. Should any item be deemed unsuitable for consignment (labeled as No Thank You – NTY), we provide two options: either they can be reserved for consignor pickup or managed responsibly under the oversight of Horse Saddle Deals. When confronted with uncertainty, it is advisable to exercise prudence and prioritize the integrity of the consignment process. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Consignment Terms

The commission paid to consignors for the sale of saddles depends on the final selling price. Horse Saddle Deals begins with a 50/50 split for saddles priced at $695 or lower, with the percentage varying as the retail price increases. The minimum commission retained by Horse Saddle Deals is 30%. The retail price of saddles will decrease by $50 every four months until the saddle is sold.

For tack items, the retail price is determined at the time of the consignment agreement. Consignors receive 60% of the final sales price. After 60 days, the retail price of tack will be reduced by 10%, and this reduction will continue every subsequent 60 days.

Horse Saddle Deals has the authority to negotiate the retail price of any item if offers received are within $100 of the set retail price. For offers exceeding a $100 difference, we will contact you for approval.

We reserve the right to refuse or dispose of any items we deem unsafe or unsuitable for resale.

Horse Saddle Deals requests exclusive advertising rights and kindly asks that you refrain from marketing the saddle(s) through social media, the Internet, or print advertising. A $100 cancellation fee will be imposed if we discover any unauthorized marketing efforts.

Should your saddles require any of the following items, we will charge the following fees:

  • Heavy Cleaning: $30
  • Light Cleaning: $10
  • Replacement of Off Billets, Latigo Tie Straps, or Stirrup Hobbles: Cost of Replacement
  • Replacement of Rear Cinch on Ranch/Roping Saddles: Cost of Replacement
  • Picking Up Items

Consignors have the flexibility to retrieve their items and cancel the agreement at any time. However, if saddles are picked up within the first 60 days, a $60 cancellation fee per saddle will apply. This fee covers our labor, marketing, and advertising costs.

Consignor Payments

Checks exceeding $50 will be promptly mailed to consignors within 30 days of the sale date. Payments will be sent to the address provided unless you prefer a store credit, which can be arranged at any amount.

Liability

Horse Saddle Deals assumes no liability for the loss, damage, or destruction of any consigned items. Your trust in us is greatly appreciated, and we are committed to providing a secure environment for your consignment needs.
