A new Circle Y Runaway barrel saddle with a 14.5 inch seat, at 25 to 30 lbs.

Weight is the first thing a barrel racer should look at, and this sits in the right range: light enough not to load a horse that has to accelerate, turn and stop hard, without going so light that it feels flimsy.

The tree is adjustable, which is unusual and useful in a barrel saddle. Barrel horses are often fit, muscular and changeable through a season, and a fixed tree that fitted in spring can pinch by autumn.

Circle Y is one of the best-known names in western saddles, and the Runaway is their barrel line. Available in black, brown or dark brown. New.
