A roping saddle has to hold up to the shock of the rope coming tight, and the weight here reflects a tree and rigging built for that. The seat is cut to let you get off quickly, and the horn is sized for dallying.

The adjustable tree is useful on a rope horse that will muscle up considerably through a season of work.
