An EquiRoyal Liberty Lane Fox show saddle in 19" to 21" seats on a wide tree, 18 to 22 lbs.

The 4" cutback head is the defining feature and the reason for the seat sizes. A cutback head is scooped out at the pommel to clear a high wither, which is why these suit gaited horses, Saddlebreds and Arabians. Lane Fox seats are also measured differently from a hunt seat saddle, which is why 19" to 21" looks large — it is not the same scale as an 18" jumping saddle.

Felt-stuffed panels with close-fitting soft leather lining, recessed safety stirrup bars, reinforced leather girth billets and a smooth leather seat.

Best for: saddle seat and show classes on gaited, Saddlebred or Arabian horses.
Not for: general riding or jumping — a cutback saddle is built for one job.
