14-day trial · ride before you commit

Two separate routes, and this is the one to pick if you want to ride the saddle: try it for 14 days without paying the full amount. A straight purchase can only be sent back unused.
The trial carries a shipping and return fee, shown as an option at checkout.
Ride it on your own horse and send it back if the fit is wrong.

30-day returns · $7.95 label fee

You have 30 days from purchase to return an item.
It must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging. If you want to ride it first, take the 14-day trial above instead.
Return shipping is paid by the customer: $7.95 for the FedEx return label, deducted from your refund. Attach it and include the original invoice.

Before we list a used saddle · inspected and repaired

Every saddle is inspected - tree, billets, rigging, stitching and flocking - and repaired before it goes on sale.
Gullet width and bar type are recorded so you can check the fit.
Send us photos or a wither tracing and we will tell you honestly whether it suits your horse.

A Martin Crown C barrel saddle, 15.5 inch, four months old and in excellent condition.

The 7.5 inch gullet is the number to check first. That is a wide fit, and it suits a broad, well-muscled barrel horse. On a narrower, sharper-withered horse it will sit down too low at the front, so measure before you buy rather than after.

This is a custom order rather than a standard Crown C, and the detail is where that shows: a stitched 15.5 inch seat, silver border dots, and upgraded conchos. It comes with Hamley twist stirrup leathers and 2 inch engraved stirrups, and a back cinch is included.

Four months of use is almost nothing on a saddle built like this. The leather has been broken in for you and the price is a long way below a new custom build.
